The Greatest American Rock Band (according to this writer) has made their 10th studio album and latest offering Lightning Bolt available for streaming on iTunes today.
A varied, at times exploratory album, Lightning Bolt showcases the band’s versatility over twelve tracks. Ranging from classic rock to neo-punk to bluesy roots rock, Eddie Vedder and company offer something for everyone on this latest go round while remaining quintessentially Pearl Jam; showcasing Vedder’s emotionalism, driving guitars by Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, and a steadfast rhythm section comprised of bassist Jeff Ament and drummer Matt Cameron.

Said Vedder recently to Rolling Stone: “They say to write what you know. I think [mortality's] maybe one thing that we all know [laughs]. It’s living while you’re alive, and living to the day you die, and being cognizant of the end, and you might lead a more appreciative life, if that’s part of your approach.”
